The 1260 NBX is a supportive running shoe designed for racking up high mileage. As part of the Stability range from New Balance, it is geared towards the very best runners. The main purpose of this shoe to provide tremendous comfort through its extensive cushioning technologies. It features a resilient engineered elastomer designed to provide shock absorption and responsiveness. Abzorb technology provides enhanced forefoot and heel shock absorption, while there is a high quality Ortholite cushioned insole which supports the unique structure of the foot; as well as cushioning, this adds to the durability and breathability of the shoe also. There is an optimal arch support, both rigid and lightweight, as well as a medial support system that allows a smooth transition from heel strike to toe off. Because the 1260 is a running shoe this support cannot compromise performance, with that in mind, it is constructed using Acteva Ultralite which is 12% lighter than Acteva Lite. There is also the Ndurance rubber compound in the heel for maximum durability in this hard wearing area.
